I absolutely LOVE Black Friday.
What exactly is Black Friday, you ask?
The day after Thanksgiving has been coined Black Friday since the 60’s. It was a term used to describe the mayhem and massive amounts of shoppers out on that Friday.
While a lot of people hate the crowds and have no desire to stand in long lines or throw a few elbows for that last doorbuster, I, on the other hand, live for it!

Finding the Best Deals on Black Friday
As Black Friday approaches, make sure you are ready so you can find the best deals. Here are some tips for staying on top of everything!
1 – Make a List
Make a list of the items you want. Having a list will help you narrow down where to get the best deals.
2 – Sign Up for Email Lists
Go to your favorite retailers inline and sign up for their email lists so you can be kept in the loop on their sales and deals as they come out. You will likely be sent special promotions and coupons as well!
3 – Look Up Black Friday Ads
By mid-November, most stores have posted their Black Friday Ads. Go online and browse through them to see what they have and match it up to your list to get the best deal.
4 – Check Store Policy on Price Matching
Most stores will price match but it is best to call ahead and ask the store about their policy on Black Friday for price matching. Some stores will not price match a Black Friday special simply because it is a special sale price. Know this going in so that you aren’t expecting a specific store to give you a lower price only to be told they can’t.
5 – Use Price Comparision Apps or Sites
Sites like pricewatch.com and shopping.com off price comparisons. There are apps you can download too like ShopSavvy.
The Amazon app features a barcode scanner that allows you to scan any barcode and that item will pull up to show you the listings and prices on Amazon.com. Very useful!
6 – Go Early!
The Early Bird prices and specials tend to be the best deals you will find on Black Friday. Get there early. Especially if you have a specific item you are trying to buy.
7 – Go Prime!
It’s no secret that Amazon will have some of the best Black Friday Deals of the year. If you are considering online shopping at all, it pays to go Prime!
What is “Prime?”
Being a Prime Member of Amazon means a lot of things.
For a small yearly fee, you get access to free 2-day shipping on Amazon-fulfilled items, access to movies and TV shows, access to free music and reading (magazines, books, etc), access to Cloud Storage for photos, access to Prime now which delivers qualifying products in two hours, and much more.
But one of the coolest features of Prime is that Prime members get first dibs on Amazons Flash Deals. All Prime Member gets access and are able to buy 30 minutes BEFORE non-prime members!
This will be significant on Black Friday!
I hope you find some killer deals this Black Friday!
