If you are a pumping mom and spend any length of time milkin’ the girls, then you know what a pain it can be to sit there and hold the flanges up for 20 plus minutes. Especially if you pump multiple times per day.
One of my greatest discoveries, when I was a working and pumping mom, was a hands-free pumping bra. I do not know how I existed before buying one. I pumped 4-5 times while away from my baby and remember dreading pumping because one, it was boring and two, I felt useless.
When I finally got a pumping bra, it opened the door to a whole new world of multitasking! I suddenly could do all kinds of things while pumping. Working, typings, reading, texting, eating, entertaining my baby, etc.
I have used many different brands of pumping bras and Simple Wishes is one of my favorites.
Simple Wishes Pumping Bra
The Simple Wishes pumping bra is not to be confused with the all-in-one bra. This is a bustier style bra which means it is made to only be worn when pumping. It is not an actual bra.
It has a zipper in the front and can be worn over your nursing bra to hold the flanges in place as you pump. Once you are finished, you take it off.
I like the bustier style pumping bras for a few reasons:
- They are easy to adjust and put on so you don’t have to fuss with it.
- Some all-in-one pumping bras can be unsupportive or can’t be worn under a tight fitting shirt as you can see the folds of the bra under the shirt. The bustier pumping bras allow you to wear any bra or nursing bra you want.
- Can be tightened for a better hold on the flanges when pumping.
Features:
- Adjustable Fit Options:
- The front has two zippers with a 2″ removable panel that allows you to move the flanges closer together for a more custom fit.
- The back panel is velcro and allows you to adjust the bustier to fit your ribcage by adjusting up to 10″
- Includes straps for more support.
- Machine washable
- Made of 83% cotton, 17% spandex
- 2 color choices – Black, pink

Versatility of the Simple Wishes Straps
All Simple Wishes bustiers include straps.
You can choose to wear the straps or leave it strapless. They are simple to put on and take off. I did not always use the straps as I typically used the bustier over my nursing bra (folded the nursing bra down and put the bustier over the top) so I felt I had plenty of support.
But there were times that I needed the support of the straps. If I wore a less supportive nursing bra or if I was wearing a regular bra that I need to take off to pump then the straps were a great help.
If you are larger chested, then you know trying to put on a strapless bra is not the best fit. You just need a little more support. The straps provide that. This is actually one of the huge differences in why I love the Simple Wishes bra over the Medela pumping bra. It is must more supportive with or without the straps.
Here are a few options for wearing your Simple Wishes bustier:
Sizes and Colors
Most bustier type pumping bras are sized in a Small – Large size range. The Simple Wishes is no exception. This can be confusing to figure out what size you should be.
I suggest following Simple Wishes sizing chart:
If you want an even easier way to find out your size, Simple Wishes has a cool calculator on their site that allows you to simply enter your bra size and it tells you what size bustier you should get. Fabulous! You can see that calculator here.
The Simple Wishes D-Lite bustier comes in two colors: Black and Pink.
Bottomline
Simple Wishes pumping bra is one of my favorites.
If you want the flexibility to be able to wear different bras rather than just pumping bras but still want to be able to pump hands-free, then the bustier style pumping bra is a great option.
I used mine a lot and found it held up to being washed and used nearly daily for over a year without issue.
One of the things I like most about simple wishes is that even though you pick a size, you can still adjust the bra to better fit you and your body shape. You won’t find that with most bustier pump bras. It is very supportive because it fits so well.
The addition of the straps is also a win in my opinion. It gives moms with different body types a lot more options for comfortable hands-free pumping.
If you want hands-free pumping at an affordable price, this bra is well worth it! I highly recommend Simple Wishes!

The best price I have found is on Amazon.
It is about 25% lower there than if you buy it directly from the Simple Wishes site. Every penny counts, right!
