Thinking about buying the Baby Trend Sit N Stand stroller? Have you seen how many model options there are? I kid you not, there are eight.
So how do you know which one is best and what the different features are? Well, I am here to help you navigate.
If you read my full review on Baby Trend’s Sit N Stand Stroller than you already know that I own the Double model. Most are the same with slight variances as the company upgraded and improved on the original model.
Baby Trend Ultra vs DX
The Ultra and Dx models are both single seat with the sit and stand jumpseat/platform in the back for an older rider. They do not come with a double seat. So both of these strollers are specifically designed for when you have a younger child (under 4) and an older child.
These two models run a little cheaper obviously than the full double stroller which is nice if you don’t have a use for the second seat anyway.
Here are some of the features of the Ultra and DX Sit N Stand:
- Allows children to sit or stand
- New and improved stand-on platform
- Lightweight, sturdy construction
- Covered parent organizer with cup holders
- Swing away child tray with cup holder
- Child tray accepts infant car seat
- Large removable shade canopy
- 5-point child restraint safety harness
- Large storage basket
- Foot activated rear brake
- One hand fold is fast and easy to use
- Folds compact for travel or storage
- Accepts most Baby Trend and most major brands of infant car seats: (for better fit and performance you may need to remove the canopy of the stroller)
The Ultra and the DX are very similar strollers and share a lot of the same features.
So What is the Difference?
The difference in these two models is that the Ultra has the ability to add an infant seat to the back platform and allow you to use the stroller in a more diverse way. The DX only has the option of the infant seat in the front riding position.
It’s a subtle difference but really a big one in terms of how you can use the stroller. The Ultra really is an upgrade, though the price difference is less than $30…
The color options may vary for the two as well so if you have a specific color in mind that might be something to consider.
If you have a toddler and an infant, you may want to consider the Ultra model so that your toddler can ride in the front seat and the infant in the back. By the time your infant old enough to ride in the front seat, your toddler will likely be ready for the jumpseat. You can save some money this way instead of spending on a double stroller that your toddler may not be able to ride in for long.
My two-year-old and my five-year-old still ride in the Sit N Stand and it works great.
If you are on a budget and need a quality option for a double stroller, the Baby Trend Sit N Stand is a great option. As I said above, you can save some money by going with the DX or Ultra models since they run cheaper than the full doubles if you don’t truly need the two seats.
